Formaldehyde plant (silver process)
Introduction
CMT Company provides customers with process technology, equipment manufacturing, installation and commissioning, and technical training services for the following devices:
(1) Formaldehyde complete equipment set:
Iron molybdenum process (proprietary technology) with a single production capacity of 60-400kt/a,
Silver process (low-energy new process) with a single production capacity of 50-120kt/a;
(2) Complete set of formaldehyde equipment: Product specifications range from 85% to 99.5%, with a single set capacity of 10-300kt/a;
(3) Polyoxymethylene complete set equipment: single production capacity of 10-60kt/a;
(4) Urotropin plant: (gas-phase method, liquid-phase method), with a single production capacity of 5-20kt/a;
(5) Acetaldehyde complete set of equipment: single production capacity of 10-50kt/a;
(6) Supply of Clariant iron molybdenum catalyst and formaldehyde exhaust catalyst;
(7) Electrolytic silver catalyst production equipment and silver catalyst processing and supply.
Process description
Our company has made the following improvements to the traditional silver formaldehyde process:
(1) For the first time, a new formaldehyde process using the three cycle method was proposed to increase formaldehyde concentration and reduce raw material and power consumption;
(2) Introducing evaporative coolers into formaldehyde systems for the first time, saving energy and water;
(3) For the first time, the combustion method of the exhaust gas processor has been improved to enhance thermal efficiency and reduce exhaust emissions;
(4) For the first time, the evaporation system was changed to a tower evaporator to reduce the pressure drop of the entire system, extend the start-up time, adapt to the use of crude methanol, replace the steam of the ingredient with recycled water, and use the low-temperature waste heat of the absorption system instead of heating steam for methanol evaporation, saving energy.



Advantage
The new formaldehyde process using the three cycle method has significant advantages over traditional processes in terms of equipment structure, catalyst life, material consumption, energy conservation and environmental protection, and process control systems. This process not only has low raw material consumption and high by-product steam, but also is the only way to produce high concentration formaldehyde by silver method. If there is no need to recycle methanol and water, low power consumption can be achieved. This process has a significant comprehensive effect on formaldehyde production and excellent product quality, making it the preferred technology for new silver formaldehyde engineering projects in the world.
